Elspeth Beard
"In the summer of 1982, a 23-year-old Elspeth Beard set off on her motorbike, and didn’t return home until she’d travelled the entire globe – a remarkable feat for any person, but particularly as a solo female biker nearly 40 years ago, making her one of the first women to ride around the world alone by bike..."

Nomadic Notes
Going on his third decade of independent travel, James Clark writes beautiful, succinct articles about travel, and has become a go-to reference for SE Asia. I get his weekly newsletter, and I wish I had read his article on a cool, (and cheap,) place to stay in Hong Kong before I endured the Chungking Mansion!

Vietnam Coracle
Visiting Vietnam? You must consult this extensive website. Touring Vietnam on a motorbike? You absolutely must visit the Coracle!

Run by a brilliant man known as only "Tom," this is the most thorough site I have seen for Vietnam, and for bikers, he has many, many detailed maps of his favorite routes throughout Vietnam. After biking randomly through several countries, it was a real pleasure to just follow Tom's route and advice to see the most interesting places and to enjoy the best ride!

Eva zu Beck loves to get herself in crazy situations and take her time getting out of them. I first watch her video on horse trekking through Mongolia and was hooked. This is one brave girl on one exciting journey.

This guy has an endearing personality, and he speaks Russian as well as English so he gets into interesting places and converses with people where other vloggers can't, so he  is an engaging guide through Russia and surrounding countries.

Tech experiments from the ground, up mostly in the center of the ground-up tech universe; China. Strange Parts takes you on wild journeys to, say, build your own iPhone, (not easy,) or tour the "Thief's Market" in Mumbai, India.

Zoe Cano --  This British adventurist worked in the film industry for decades, then in 2012, she decided to cross the U.S. on a Triumph Bonneville T100, which started a journey of authoring four books on her adventures.

“A thrill ride on two wheels. Educational and inspirational as Ms. Cano takes the reader on an up-close-and-personal tour of Americana” –
MetroWest Daily News Boston

David Crossman --  Musician, painter and author, Crossman hails from Maine, and his fiction adventures span the globe. The latest in his "Alfred" series of detective novels, "Improvisato," takes us to New Zealand, chasing a notorious web of smugglers. His eloquent and detailed narratives pull you in and embrace you through the entire journey.

Tom Blower is a British man with Type-I Diabetes riding a bicycle around the world, so he gets more cred than I do in many ways. Visit his blog HERE, or watch my interview with him HERE.

Geoff Keys is in his sixties and has pledged to "Ride until dementia sets in." He can't be bothered to post daily or even weekly, but when the opportunity strikes, and after more than 60,000 miles through the Eastern Hemisphere, for more than five years, he's still going strong. Catch his latest ride, HERE.
